CONFÉRENCE DE CLÔTURE PROJET EWSDGE le 11 Février 2016 à Bruxelles



While comparatively many women hold first-line management positions, at mid-management, female representation dramatically declines. The decision-making bodies of European listed companies are still dominated by men and men only. So where are all the women? Middle management is the key leakage point along the pipeline – this needs redress, including better management of the talent pipeline that leads to all management levels.

In order to progress corporate policies (and to inspire corporate culture change), we took action in 12 EU Member States by visiting nearly 100 Annual General Meetings of the highest turnover companies in the first half of 2015. We demanded to know how the company would improve the percentage of women in decision-making positions faster and more effectively and asked pointed questions to Chairs and CEOs alike.

We will discuss the amazing and surprising results of our activities at the conference: what are the next steps for action? Do the results confirm the need for the implementation of European legislation with regard to women in decision making positions?
